Unlike chain hotels or empty short-term rental houses, staying at a family run country inn is an experience like none other. You are greeted by the welcoming innkeepers, Stacey and Mark, who are happy to provide you with friendly service and individualized suggestions for food and activities in the area. Having owned the inn for over twenty years, the couple knows all the hot spots and they love to chat about them.

Fabulous Fall
This time of year is truly magical! And, the very best place to see the brightest colors in Connecticut are the wooded areas in the Northwest Hills. Country Living Magazine has named Kent, CT as one of the “Best Fall Towns in the U.S. for Foliage” (August 2023) With its old-fashioned charm, amazing views and home to the states largest waterfall, Kent and the surrounding towns are a win for leaf-peepers.
You cannot drive a mile without seeing breathtaking views and colorful foliage. Make sure you book a few nights, as one day is simply not enough. You may also want to enjoy an outdoor music festival, do some apple picking or visit one of the many Harvest Fairs taking place. So, so much to do!

The local hilly state forests and state parks offer lots of places to enjoy your cross country skis and snowshoes.
Mohawk Mountain and 3 Guys Ski and Ride are local businesses that have access to ski and snowboard rentals. Buy or rent snowshoe’s down the road in Kent at Rip Lips Fishing. Spring Fling
Enjoy the sense of renewal as hundreds of daffodils start peeping through the ground around town. As the locals come out of hibernation, you will notice lots of smiling faces and an overall feel of optimism in the air. There is something about the flowering trees that keeps our hearts open with a promise of the warm days to come. After a long, cold New England winter Spring offers the chance to explore the state parks, take long hikes and visit the wineries.
